During the American Colonial Period, many buildings were constructed with timber frames. Early settlers who did not have access to a mill had to hew logs into square beams with nothing but a broad ax. These beautiful hand crafted beams are increasingly getting more popular in new construction and remodels. They instantly give a rustic look and add character to any room. These recycled beams are now re-purposed into trusses, mantels, ceilings grids, posts and many more.
We offer a large variety of hand hewn timbers from all over the country. We currently have but are not limited to sizes ranging from 5″x5″ to 12″x12″ in different lengths. We have shorter timbers that are great for mantels and timbers stretching over twenty feet. Contact us for an estimate.
